Elvera Zimmers, 93, of Redlands, CA passed away on December 21, 2017 at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital Fontana, CA.

She was born on March 13, 1924 to Sebastian and Emma (Michelini) Colo in Yatesboro, PA. Elvera worked at Sylvania Electric in PA and Delmar Electronics in California . She was a member of St. Vincent De Paul, Huntington Beach, CA.

Elvera is survived by her two sons - James Zimmers of Seattle, WA and Michael Zimmers and wife Melanie of Highlands, CA; 2 grandsons - Matthew and Stephen Zimmers; and three sisters - Alice Fusaro of Rural Valley, Virginia Borovatz of Kittanning, and Hilda Covolo of Rural Valley; and two brothers - Joseph Colo of Mentor, OH and Frank (Theresa) Colo of Ernest, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - James M. Zimmers, whom died April 20, 2008; sister - Theresa Gett; brother - Albert Colo; and daughter in law - Jeannie Zimmers.

Visitation will be held on Friday December 29, 2017 from 2-6 PM at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00 from St. Mary, Mother of God Church, Yatesboro with Fr. Medil S. Aseo, officiating. The family requests everyone to meet at the Funeral Home for the parting of prayers at 10:30 a.m.

Burial will take place in the St. Mary's R.C. Cemetery, Yatesboro.
