Alfred F. Young, 87 of NuMine, PA, died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in VNA Hospice, Butler.

He was born June 14, 1924 in Fairview Twp., Butler C., Son of the late George E. and Margaret C. (Leichlightner) Young.

He was a member of UMWA and Moose Lodge - Chicora. He enjoyed golfing and Life.

He worked as a Maintanence Supervisor for R & P coal retiring in 198 .

Surviving are Son - Gerald Young and wife Barbara of Valencia, PA; 3 Daughters - Rebecca Rhodes and husband Paul of NuMine, PA, Debra E. Hill-Callen of Sarver, PA, Virginia Kellar and husband Kenneth of Sagamore, PA, and Patricia Galbraith and husband Christopher of New Bethlehem, PA; 9 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren; 6 Sisters - Loretta Hiles of Phoenix, AZ, Donna Weiland and husband Lee of Beaver, PA, Patricia McGinnis and husband Lee of Chicora, PA, Dorothy Ekas and husband Dean of Chicora, PA, Catherine Grecco and husband Michael of Phoenix, AZ and Bernadette Hartwell of Morgantown, PA, .

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna B. Young, whom died July 20, 1998, Parents, 7 Brothers and 1 Sister.

Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9, Thursday, December 29 at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Rural Valley, PA.

Services will be held at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Daniel Blout officiating.

Interment will follow in the Lawnhaven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA 16262.
