L. Harold "Bud" Wilhelm, 77, of Rural Valley, (Plumcreek Twp.) passed away on May 26, 2012 at his residence. He was born on October 30, 1934 to Lawrence E. and Roberta Susie (Beck) Wilhelm in Plumcreek Twp., PA. Harold worked as a tool dresser on gas wells, Blancys Store in Kittanning, the Stavemill in Whitesburg and as a Packer for Eljer Plumbing for 25 years. He volunteered at the Elderton Fire Dept. and was a member of the William Penn. He restored and collected over 40 Farm tractors. He drove them in the local parades with his son Robert. He Loved to Farm, to support the 4 H, woodworking, hunting and fishing. Also, he loved his animals, especially his dog Ricky. Harold was a devoted family man, especially to his late wife Linda Lou (Miller) Wilhelm, who died May 16, 2005 and he missed dearly. L. Harold is survived by 2 sons - L. Martin Wilhelm and wife Debbie of Rural Valley and Robert P. Wilhelm and wife Doris of Rural Valley; daughter - Patricia Yorko of Rural Valley; 2 grandsons - Shawn Wilhelm and Michael Yorko; 6 granddaughters - Debra Lundgren, Jennifer Orvosh, Peggy Jo Boyle, Terra Yorko, Amy Cousins, Tanya Bish; and 1 sister - Mary Kromer of Rural Valley; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife - Linda Lou Wilhelm, sister, Doris Hoover and a great-grandson - Samuel Boyle. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 7- 9 pm & Wednesday, May 30, 2012 2-4 & 7- 9 pm at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 Main St. Rural Valley, PA. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012, 11:00 am at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Rural Valley, PA, with Pastor Tim Lewis, officiating. Burial will take place in the Harkleroad Cemetery.
