ROBERT JAY WENSEL

Robert Jay Wensel, 69 of NuMine, PA, died Saturday, November 12, 2011 in Allegheny General Hospital .

He was born December 25, 1941 in Cowanshannock Twp., Son of the late Floyd W. Wensel, Sr. and Carrie E. (Snyder) Wensel.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge 244. He was a Vietnam veteran serving with the Air Force A1C.

He worked as a Ironworker Local #3 and retired in 2006 from Boilermaker Local #154.

Surviving are 2 Sons - Jay S. Wensel and wife Miranda of Indiana and Matthew D. Wensel of State College; Their Mother - Genevieve Stohlman Wensel of Home, PA; 4Sisters - Jaunita Deniziak of Erie, Dorothy Langdon of Erie, V. Joanne Wilkenson and Husband Henry of Seagertown, PA and Leona Casselman and Husband John of NuMine; 3 Brothers - Dean Wensel and Wife Pat of Erie, Marvin Wensel and wife Clara of Guys Mills, PA and Roy Wensel and wife Rose of NuMine. His Grandchildren; Adriana, Willow, Persephone, Kaleb and Skylar Wensel

He was preceded in death by his Parents; 1 Son - Robert P. Wensel; 2 Brothers- Floyd Jr. and Jack Wensel and Brother-in-law- Raymond Deniziak.

Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-9, Tuesday, November 15 at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Rural Valley, PA.

Services will be held at Crooked Creek Baptist Church, Chambersville Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Micah McMillen officiating.

Interment will follow in the Crooked Creek Cemetery.
