ROBERT C. VAN HORNE

Robert C. Van Horne, Sr., 82 of Home, PA, died Sunday, August 29, 2010 in Back to Basics Personal Care Home, Dayton, PA.

He was born January 1, 1928 in Cowanshannock Twp., Son of the late Dorsey and Berdella (Goldstrohm) Van Horn.

He worked as a Millwright and Carpenter on Consignment for Local # 2235 . He was Corporal in the Army operating in telegraph communications during the Korean Conflict.

Surviving are 2 Daughters , Diana Walker and husband Wayne of Mayport, PA and Deborah Maurer and husband Henry of E. Brady, PA, 1 Son, Robert C. Van Horne, Jr. of Plumville, PA, 2 Brothers, William Van Horn of Dayton, PA and Clinton Van Horn of Home, PA, 2 Sisters, Blanche Roberts of Akron, OH. and Thelma Mae Moorehead of Mount Morris, PA, 14 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, .

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Klingensmith) Walker - DOD May 9, 1997, His Parents and Companion - Erma Rumbaugh - DOD Sept. 2007.

Services will be held privately.
