ALBERT "DALE" STEWART

Albert "Dale" Stewart of Rural Valley (Formerly of Dayton) died September 13, 2010 at the Armstrong Co. Health Center.

Dale was born July 27, 1928 in Cowanshannock Twp. of the late Robert "Arthur" and Wilda (White) Stewart. Dale married Beverly J. McGaughey on September 3, 1955. They celebrated their 55th Anniversary on Sept. 3, 2010.

Dale was a Dairy Farmer worked on the family farm, Stewartdale Dairy retiring in December 1994.

Dale was a member of the NuValley Presbyterian Church, Rural Valley. He was a member of the Rural Valley Grange, where he held various offices. He was also a member of the Armstrong Co. Pomona Grange and the PA State Grange. Dale was also a former member of the Dayton Young Farmers. Dale was a graduate of Shannock Valley High School in 1947.

Dale's hobbies were Buck Hunting, building bird houses after retirement and attending the Dayton Fair. He also enjoyed following the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed attending dance, music and sports activities of his grandchildren.

Dale is survived by three daughters, Bonnie (Robert) Patterson of Kittanning; Susan (Jeffery) Coffman of Williamsburg, VA and Becky (Kurt) McEntire of Dayton; four grandchildren, Karlene Kreutzer of NY City; Kristine Kreutzer of Williamsburg, VA; Stewart and Tyler McEntire of Dayton. He is also survived by a Brother, Robert W. (Betty) Stewart of Dayton.

Preceded in death by his parents, one son - Loren Dale Stewart - DOD 10/21/1968 One Sister - Glenna Mae Cooper.

Family and Friends will be received on Wednesday September 15 from 7-9 PM and Thursday September 16, 2010 from 2 -4 PM and 7-9PM at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc. 724 Main St. Rural Valley, PA 16249. Funeral services will be held at NuValley Presbyterian Church on Friday at 11:00 AM with one hour visitation prior. The Rev. Stephanie Weaver will officiate.

Burial will be in Rural Valley Cemetery.
