Harry Wayne Snyder, 93, of Dayton, Wayne Twp. passed away on May 15, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Hospice - Cabot.

He was born on September 12, 1923 to R. Roy and Edna Mae (Beck) Snyder in Rural Valley, PA. Harry worked as a farmer and school bus contractor.

He was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church and was an organist for over 75 years. Harry enjoyed wood carving and was an avid deer hunter.

Harry is survived by his son - Roland (Helen) Snyder of Dayton, PA; daughter - Donna Turner of Dayton; two granddaughters - Trisha Brewer of Kittanning and Rebecca Upton of Wellsburg, WV; four great-grandchildren - Raith Brewer, Delaney Brewer, Christopher Upton and Matthew Upton.

He was preceded in death by wife of 70 years Betty Jane Snyder. whom died Nov. 5, 2014; parents and sister - Betty Jean Hammond.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2017, 6 - 9 pm at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017, 11:00 am at Jerusalem Lutheran Church with Mr. Ralph Kilgore, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery.
