MARYANN H. SMITH

Maryann H. Smith, 78, of Rural Valley, passed away on July 16, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospice - Cabot, PA,

She was born on December 8, 1938 to Samuel and Anne (Fennimore) Muir at Philadelphia, PA. Maryann graduated from Hallahan All Girls Catholic H.S., in 1956 where she was the lead of the choir. She had the lead part in the hit musical success "Seventeen" as Lola Pratt at the All Boys Roman Catholic H.S. She also sang with the USO at military bases in New Jersey.

Maryann and Roy were married in December 10, 1988 and enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Maryann was a member of the choir at Saint Peter's Celestine and enjoyed singing at weddings and anniversaries for family members and friends. She was also a member of the Senior Sensations in Rural Valley, Pa. and was member of St. Mary, Mother of God Church in Yatesboro.

Maryann is survived by her husband Roy Smith; six daughters - Madeline H. (Richard) Stein, Jane M. (Tony) Picciano, Maryann R. (Tony) Enciso, Johanna (Vincent) Cannizzaro and Fredericka G. Smith, Susan (Philip)McCollum; son - James (Jenny) Afflerbach; five granddaughters - Vicky Stein, Tandy Marie Alvarez, Angel Cannizzaro, Ashley McEnroe, Jessica McCollum; one grandson- Matthew McCollum and great-granddaughter - Anjolie Cannizzaro.

She was preceded in death by her Parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Rita Catholic Church &endash; Philadelphia on August 3, 2017 at 09:00. Interment will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery immediately following.
