Daniel W. Smith, 62, of Kittanning, Cowanshannock Twp. passed away on August 7, 2018 at his residence.

He was born on August 20, 1955 to William and Betty (Lamison) Smith in Kittanning, PA. Daniel was a retired coal miner for R & P Coal and Consol Energy. He was a member of the UMWA.

Daniel is survived by his daughter - Michelle (Christopher) Prailey of Kittanning; son - Michael (Lindsay) Smith of State College; and 9 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister - Grace Goldstrohm.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
