VIRGINIA M. SLEASE

Virginia M. Slease, 88, of Dayton, passed away on February 9, 2018 at Kittanning Care Center.

She was born on May 27, 1929 to Charles and Edith (Blystone) Kaufman in Plumcreek Twp. Virginia was a Farmer and Homemaker. She was a member of Gastown Reformed Church.

Virginia is survived by her son - Larry (Kathy) Slease of Dayton; four daughters - Karen (Michael) Yorko of Dayton, Sharon (John) Hawk of Shelocta, Cheryl (Kelly) Haight of Commodore, and Kimberly Slease of Indiana; sister - Ruth Verner of Rural Valley; three granddaughters - Kristen Slease, Sarah Harper, and Carrie Slease; two grandsons - Airman First Class Kenneth Haight and Kurt Haight; and two great-granddaughters - Kayla and Kylee Slease.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband - George F. Slease, whom died 11/23/2007; and 4 Brothers - Glenn, Roy, Miles, and Kenneth Kaufman.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018, 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Lindahl officiating.

Burial will take place in the Salem (Hills) United Church of Christ Cemetery.
