Wallace Shoop, Jr., 84, of Nu Mine, passed away on May 29, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on August 30, 1932 to Wallace, Sr. and Kathryn (DeLancy) Shoop in Springdale, PA. Wallace worked as a Laborer for Cowanshannock Twp. for 26 years. On March 10, 1961 he married Ruby Lydic.

He attended Sagamore Wesleyan Methodist Church in Sagamore. He was a life member of NuMine Sportsman's Club and enjoyed fishing.

Wallace is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruby; daughter - Betty (Don) McLaughlin of Rural Valley; granddaughter - Becky (Jason) Lasher of Rural Valley; great-grandson - Troy Cramer; great-granddaughter - Skye Lasher; three sisters - Lauretta Irwin of Youngville, PA, Nancy Doms of Kittanning, and Mary John of Ford City; Brother - Donald (Barb) Shoop of Home, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents; infant daughters - Joann and Peggy Shoop; brothers - Charles and Walter "Skip" Shoop; 4 Sisters - 3 infant and Donna Kline.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017, 2 -4 & 7-9 pm at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017, 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with Pastor Thaddeus Taylor, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Rural Valley Cemetery
