DONALD RICHARD SHOOP

Donald Richard Shoop, Sr., 83, of Home, PA, passed away on July 10, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on December 15, 1933 to Wallace and Kathryn (DeLancy) Shoop in Avonmore, PA. Donald was a Truck Driver for Cowanshannock Twp.

He was a member of Sagamore Wesleyan Methodist Church. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Donald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Ellen (Neal) Shoop; two sons - Donald R. (Leigh) Shoop, Jr. of Ringgold and Alan L. (Cindy) Shoop, Sr. of Sagamore; three daughters - Tammy (Daniel) Cousins of Templeton, Patty (Fiance - Skip Ammerman) Dixon of Sagamore, and Donna (Todd) Orr of Creekside; three sisters - Lauretta Irwin of Youngsville, Nancy Doms of Kittanning, and Mary John of Ford City; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 brothers - Charles, Walter "Skip", and Wallace Shoop.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 13, 2017, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc. 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, 11:00 am at the with Rev. Thaddeus Taylor, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Rural Valley Cemetery.
