HELEN BLANCHE SHAY

Helen Blanche Shay, 91, Dayton, PA, died Thursday, June 10, 2010 in Back to Basic Personal Care, Dayton.

She was born March 10, 1919 in Brookville, PA, to the late Joseph Monroe and Anna Blanche (Reighard) Buzard.

She was a Former member Eastern Star Lodge 333 and attended Dayton Church of God. She enjoyed quilting, crafting, making teddy bears and dolls, cooking, baking and going on Canadian Fishing Trips.

She worked as a custodian for the Warren Co. School District.

Surviving are 2 Sons - Gary D. (Bonnie) Shay of Nichols, NY and Glenn A. (Karen) Shay of Mayport, PA; 2 Daughters - Gail D. Ford of Texas and H. Beverley (Stanley) Moore of Dayton, PA; 1 Sister - Mary Buzard of Brookville; 9 Grandchildren 14 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband - John D. Shay, 1 Sister- Margaret Crawford and an Infant son.

Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9, Saturday 6-8 Sunday at the at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Rural Valley, PA.

Services will be held at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Monday, June 14, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Alfred Neal Reedy officiating.

Interment will follow in the Belknap Cemetery.
