Doris J Schrecengost, 91, of Kittanning, passed away on March 19, 2017 at the Grey's Colonial Acres.

She was born on January 9, 1926 to John and Veda Pearl (Beck) Troutman in Cowanshannock Twp., PA.

She was a member of Pleasant Union Lutheran Church and she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Doris is survived by her son - F.D. "Shrec" (Julie) Schrecengost of Creekside; two daughters - Dee Shoop and Carol Atherton, both of Yatesboro; five grandchildren - Jolene Bures, Chance Schrecengost, Noelle Bell, Jason Schrecengost and Jeremiah Houser; 8 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale W. Schrecengost, whom died June 29, 2011; and 4 Brothers - Merle, Elmer, Dean and Junior Troutman

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at the Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Krause, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Salem (Hills) United Church of Christ Cemetery.
