JANET S. POMPELIA

Janet S. Pompelia, 88 of Yatesboro, PA, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 in At her Residence.

She was born January 27, 1922 in Yatesboro, PA, Daughter of the late John and Rose Kovach

She was a Devoted wife and Homemaker, Loving Mother and Grandmother. She was a member Rural Valley Senior Center, St. Mary's R.C. Church, Yatesboro and an avid Steeler Fan. She worked at a bomb factory during WWII in Gary, Indiana and also was the former caretaker of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Yatesboro.

Surviving are 2 Sons, Larry Pompelia and wife Brenda of Rural Valley, PA, and Gary Pompelia of Dallas, TX, 2 Grandsons, Cory and Ethan Pompelia of Rural Valley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Mimi" P. Pompelia DOD 11/23/1998, Parents, 2 Sons - William Lee and Robert Pompelia 2 Brothers - Frank and John Kovach 2 Sisters - Margaret Kovach and Ellen Olish.

Friends will be received 10 -12 Monday, May 24 at the at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Services will be held at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Monday, May 24, 2010 at 12:00 PM

Interment will follow in the St. Mary's R.C. Cemetery, Yatesboro.
