Together Again

Rudolph C. Polana has gone to meet his beloved wife Joanne (February 16, 2012). Rudy was born May 29, 1928 in Yatesboro, Pennsylvania to August A. and Mary (Righettini) Polana. He married Joanne M. Zelinko on February 13, 1953. Rudy and Joanne spent many happy years in Mentor, Oh.

Rudy was a proud Veteran of The United States Navy and The United States Air Force. He was an avid golfer and die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Rudy is survived by his son Robert F. (Jaye) Polana of Madison, Oh and daughter Tinamarie (Michael) Martin of Perry, Oh. Loving Papa will be missed by grandsons Frank A. (Rachel Latina) Slodic, Matthew M. (Carla Hayes)Slodic, Robert A. Polana, Ryan and Mason Martin and by granddaughters Kristin M. Polana and Sarah A. Seyler. He is also survived by sister Victoria Rusnica, loving sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and adored nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joanne, his parents, and one brother, August D. Polana Jr.

Rudy was a member of St. John Vianney Church in Mentor, Oh.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 Sunday, February 19 at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc 724 Main St, Rural Valley, Pa 16249. Mass will be on Monday at 11:00 AM in St. Mary R.C. Church, Yatesboro with the Rev. Daniel Blout officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery in Yatesboro.
