George C. Patterson, 76, of New Bethlehem, (Mahoning Twp., Armstrong Co.) passed away on January 1, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospice - Cabot.

He was born on November 7, 1942 to Robert and Mary (Shoemaker) Patterson in Yatesboro. George was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army.

He was a member of American Legion - Cosgrove Post and VFW - Pattonville. The only thing more notable than George's bubbly personality was his heart. George could spin yarns with the best of em! In his younger days, he particularly enjoyed hunting, riding his quad, and throwing parties on his land in Seminole, PA. As he aged, he loved watching his grandkids, sing karaoke with his wife, watching westerns, and mowing his grass. George was a simple man who enjoyed the best things in life; friends, family, and his wife's cooking.

George is survived by his wife Gloria (Baker) Patterson; three daughters - Marie Philips of Kittanning, Theresa Collier of Chicora, and Kristie (Chris) Taylor of Brookville; two sons - Kevin (Jennifer) Belles of Petrolia and Bob (Christine) Belles of New Castle; 8 grandchildren; two sisters - Sally (Ronald) McGregor of Dayton and Mary (Ron) Sigler of Yatesboro; and dedicated nephew - Rick (Nannette) Tereo of NJ; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers - William, Bob, Fred, and Jack Patterson; and a sister - Ann Tereo.

Services will be held privately.
