PATRICIA L. NELSON

Patricia L. Nelson, 67, of Rural Valley, passed away on January 3, 2018 at the McKinley Health Center - Brookville.

She was born on August 5, 1950 to Rev. William and Lois (McLaughlin) Headley in Natrona Heights, PA.

Pat graduated from Kiski Area High School in 1968 and was retired after spending several decades working as an office manager for both Dr. William Pitts and Dr. Michael Ondich. She was a member of the Rural Valley United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and belonged to the United Methodist Women's group. She loved reading, baking, sewing, music, traveling, and spending time with family, friends and her beloved pets. Pat will be remembered as always having a friendly smile and kind words.

She is survived by husband Richard, whom she married February 14, 1975; daughter Christine (Todd) Hadden and son William (Audrina) Nelson, both of Rural Valley; brother Rev. Randy (Barb) Headley of Port Allegany; two grandchildren, Alaina and Liam Nelson; and two nieces, Nicole (Steve) Fowler of Rural Valley and Jaclyn (Aaron) Pearsall of Virginia. Pat was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 7, 2018, 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 pm at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Lindahl, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Rural Valley Cemetery.
