Nora "Eloise" Morrison, 99, was born to W.C. and Norma (Brown) Lias in Rural Valley, PA on July 22, 1918. Eloise is the last great granddaughter of John Richards, a civil war veteran whose name is on the Armstrong County Civil War Memorial Plaque.

She married Donald P. Morrison on February 23, 1943. Eloise retired from General Electric Company in Cleveland, OH in 1981 after thirty years of service.

She enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing and embroidery. She was a member of the Rural Valley Women's Civic Club and member of the former Rural Valley BPW. Eloise will always be remembered for her love of wearing hats.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Don; 2 brothers - Richard and Francis Lias; and 4 sisters - Janet Miller, Anna Mae Lias, Dorothy Cogley and Marian Rearick.

She is survived by nephews - Benton (Jane) Rearick, David (Cynthia) Rearick, Greg Rearick and Tom Lias; and nieces - Diane Gearhart and Bonnie Reiter. She had the privilege of knowing 7 generations of her family.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 1-3 PM at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc. 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 3 PM with Pastor Craig Lindahl officiating. Burial will take place in Rural Valley Cemetery.
