HELEN L. McINTIRE

Helen L. McIntire, 87, of Kittanning, passed away on May 27, 2012 at ACMH Hospital, Kittanning, PA.

She was born on April 6, 1925 to Herbert F. and Tillie Catherine (Marshall) McIntire in Wayne Twp., PA. She started working for the Indiana Even Gazette and then Went on to work for the Leader Times for 50+ years as a typesetter.

She was a member of the Sagamore Wesleyan Methodist Church where she was the church treasurer for 15 years. She attended the Gallagher Elementary School, starting in the 3rd grade and graduated from Dayton High School in 1940. She also attend the Transylvania Bible School. She enjoyed Crossword puzzles, word searches and was an avid reader.

Helen is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, even though she was AUNT to all.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, 1 Sister - Frances Craig; 5 Brothers - Carl, Merle, Wayne, Dale and Dean McIntire.

Visitation will be held at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 Main St. Rural Valley, PA. on Tuesday May 29, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM from the Sagamore Wesleyan Methodist Church, Sagamore, with her nephew Wesley McIntire, Rev. John Walter and Arlan Kratz officiating. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Burial will take place in the Dayton Glade Run Cemetery, Dayton, PA.
