RICHARD McAFOOSE

Richard Donald McAfoose, 88 of Churchhill, PA, died Friday, January 14, 2011 at his residence.

He was born September 5, 1922 in Rural Valley, PA, Son of the late Wilbert J. and Marie Tilley (Beck)McAfoose.

He loved trains and being in the military.

He worked as a Professor at IUP, retiring in 1990. He also was a steelworker at Johns and Lockland Steel for 20 years .

Surviving are Son, Richard Rand McAfoose and wife Rose Marie of Derry, NH, Granddaughter, Kathleen Erin McAfoose-Holmes and husband Richard D. of Derry, NH, Great-Grandson, Christopher Dale Holmes, Great-Granddaughter, Megan Cheyanne Holmes, Brother, Thomas McAfoose of Ford City, PA, Sister, Shirley McAfoose Dinger of Norfolk, VA,

He was preceded in death by Parents.

Friends will be received 9:30 - 11:00 AM Saturday January 22, 2011 at the at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Rural Valley, PA.

Services will be held at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Craig Lindahl officiating.

Interment will follow in the Pleasant Union Cemetery, Cowanshannock Twp.
