Iris Dale Mazzarini, 72, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Rural Valley passed away on June 14, 2017 at the VA Hospital - Aspinwall.

She was born on December 14, 1944 in Carthage, MO. Dale was a Board Chairman for the Cowanshannock Twp. Water Authority. She was an Army veteran serving in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. She was proud to be a Veteran.

She was a member of the VFW - Sagamore, American Legion, and former Women's Civic Club - Rural Valley.

Dale is survived by her daughter - Colleen Plunkett (Donald) Gearhart of Kittanning; granddaughter - Stephanie Eckman of Nu Mine; two grandsons - Cpl. Eric Eckman of Camp Lejeune, NC and Justin Eckman of Kittanning; three great-granddaughters - Paytyn Garmong, Evelyn Garmong, and Leenah Eckman; step-grandson - Harry (Amanda) Gearhart of Shelocta; step-granddaughter - April (Eric) Croyle of Kittanning; and two step great-grandsons - Caden and Curtis Gearhart.

She was preceded in death by her mother - Fern Evelyn (Wood) Whites; close friend - Doris Dorsey and beloved dogs - Lizzy and Missy.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 18, 2017, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017, 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with Mr. Herb Reefer officiating.

Burial will take place in the Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
