ELIDIO "ED" PAUL LEVRI

Elidio "Ed" Paul Levri, 77 of Rural Valley, PA, died Sunday, November 13, 2011 in Shadyside Hospital.

He was born August 19, 1934 in Fiave, Italy, son of the late Filippo and Ida (Bonora) Levri.

An army veteran, he enjoyed competitive running, working outdoors, and spending time with his family.

He was retired from GM Lordstown where he worked for 28 years.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanne (Palilla) Levri, whom he married Aug. 3, 1968; 3 sons - Dr. Edward Levri and wife Maureen of Altoona, PA, Mark Levri and Anthony Levri both of Rural Valley, PA; 4 daughters - Dr. Anne Therese Levri of Latrobe, PA, Dr. Kara Mia Levri Tardivel and husband Gary of Tucson, Arizona, Dr. Julie Levri Tran and husband Duc of Mountain View, CA, and Jennifer Levri Patterson and husband Brian of Westerville, OH; 4 brothers - Elvio Levri of Rockville, MD, Rev. Fideles Levri of Reed, KY, Louis Levri of Rural Valley, PA, and Dr. James Levri of Sarver, PA. He was a beloved Nonno to six grandchildren - James, Joseph, Matthew and Adrianna Levri of Altoona, PA and Cecilia and Elise Long of Latrobe, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson - Stephen Francis Long.

Friends will be received 5-8 pm, Wednesday, November 16 at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 Main St. Rural Valley, PA 16249.

Mass will be held at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Yatesboro, Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM with his brother Rev. Fideles Levri and Rev. Daniel Blout officiating.

Internment will follow in the St. Mary's R.C. Cemetery, Yatesboro, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Save the Children or the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
