William Lazzeri, 92, of Rural Valley, passed away on April 16, 2012 in ACMH Hospital.

He was born on February 8, 1920 to Pietro and Catherine (Melesi) Lazzeri in Yatesboro, PA. William worked as a Coal Miner for R&P, retiring after 43 1/2 years.

He was a member of UMWA #600 and American Legion - Cosgrove Post, Rural Valley.

William is survived by his loving spouse of 62 years, Adella (Honkus) Lazzeri, 1 son - William Lazzeri and wife Judy of Yatesboro, PA; 2 granddaughters - Stephanie Chiapusio and husband Andrew and Jennifer Cicchiani and husband Tom; 2 sisters - Irene Kulick of Blanco, PA, Delores Emery of NuMine, PA; .

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers - Carlo, John, Peter and Andrew Lazzeri; 2 sisters - Mary Ferri and Madeline Stefancik.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2012 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012, 10:00 am at the St. Mary R.C. Church, Yatesboro, with Fr. Daniel Blout officiating.

Burial will take place in the St. Mary's R.C. Cemetery.
