Steven Richard Krecota, 61, of Yatesboro, passed away on June 24, 2018 at his residence.

He was born on June 13, 1957 to Steve and Helen (Hirst) Krecota in Kittanning, PA. Steven worked as a Coal Miner for R&P Coal. He was a member of William Penn Fraternal Organization. He loved his 66 Pontiac GTO, steel head fishing in Lake Erie and rabbit season with his brothers.

Steven is survived by his two sons, Philip Krecota of Yatesboro and Richard Krecota of Kittanning; daughter - Mechelle (Christopher) McGowan of Augusta, GA; two brothers - John (Peg) Krecota of Ford City and William Krecota of Ford City; two sisters - Jeanie (Larry) Henry of Black Lick, Patty (Michael) Barnett of Yatesboro; and 9 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother - Larry Krecota.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM from St. Mary, Mother of God Church - Yatesboro with Fr. Douglas Dorula, officiating.

Burial will take place in the St. Mary's R.C. Cemetery, Yatesboro.
