KENNETH K. "BUSTER" KNESTRICK Kenneth K. "Buster" Knestrick, 58, of Dayton died at home with his wife by his side on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011 after battling cancer for five years. His determination and great attitude, along with many answered prayers and a caring medical staff, is what kept Him going right up to the end when the Good Lord decided it was time. He was born Aug. 3, 1953 in Grindstone, PA, the son of Ken Knestrick of Dayton and Mary Brown, also of Dayton. He graduated from Leechburg High School in 1971. He served his country in the Navy as a construction man under the "SeeBees", where he earned the National Defense Service Medal. It was Buster's passion working as an Ironworker out of Local #3 in Pittsburgh. On Aug. 14, 2001 he married his wife, Suzanne (Good) Pearce Knestrick, who survives. He enjoyed riding his Harley with his wife and his father on trips to Florida, South Dakota and surrounding states. He also enjoyed spending time with his Kids and Grandkids. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his parents, Ken "Pop" Knestrick and Mary Brown; Two Daughters - Lisa Shultz and husband Ben of Ford City and Kelly Stover and husband Matt of Manorville; 1 Son - Kenny Knestrick, Jr. and companion Sarah Ewing of Plum Boro; 1 Step-Daughter - Janelle Toy and husband Dustin of Adrian; 1 Step-Son - Curtis Pearce and Fiancé Amanda Cousins of Leechburg; 2 Sisters - Deb Toy and husband Dave of Dayton and Pam Hardy and husband Mark of Mechanicsville, MD; and 1 Brother - Eric Knestrick and wife Amy of Rural Valley. He was also the pappy to 5 beautiful grandkids &endash; Hunter, Brody, Reagan, Samantha, Gavin and another on the way. His Grandparents, Stepmother - Emily Knestrick and a Brother - Jason Knestrick, preceded him in death. Friends and Family will be received on Sunday Sept. 11, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., 724 Main St. Rural Valley, PA 16249. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Mr. Ralph Kilgore officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Union Cemetery.
