Harold "Huck" Leroy Johnston, 81, of Kittanning (Plumcreek Twp.), passed away on January 23, 2017 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.

He was born on November 23, 1935 to Harry and Margaret (Ramer) Johnston in Rural Valley, PA. Huck worked as a Carpenter for Peoples Natural Gas Co - Valley Station. He was a member of Elderton District Volunteer Fire Department, where is was president from 1988-1996. Harold also served in the Army.

Harold is survived by his fiancée - Sandy Cibik of Apollo; son - Bradley J. Johnston of Waterford, CT; daughter - Leanna Greenawalt of Punxsutawney; two grandsons - Chad Johnston and Daniel Greenawalt; two granddaughters - Tori Johnston and Amber Greenawalt; Sister - Mildred (Earl) Hartzfeld of Colfax, NC; and sister-in-law - Vivian Johnston of Kittanning.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter - Amber; and 2 Brothers - Murray and Gary L. Johnston.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017, 2-4 & 7- 9 pm at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017, 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with Pastor Arlene Schweitzer, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Elderton Cemetery.
