Roy J. Jewell, 74, of Rural Valley, passed away on May 17, 2012 at his residence

He was born on May 13, 1938 to John Simon and Genevieve (Weaver) Jewell in Cowanshannock Twp. Roy worked as a Crane Man for Youngstown Sheet and Tube . As a Navy Veteran, he was a machinist on the USS Everglades.

Roy is survived by his son - Rick (Sharon) Jewell of Dayton, PA; 4 daughters - Tammy Jewell of Rural Valley, PA, Elaine Fink (Fiancé - Sam Waugaman) of Kittanning, PA, Roni Jewell of Rural Valley, PA, Tracey (Todd) Hickman of Sundance, WY; 3 sisters - Dorothy VanDyke of Kittanning, PA, Ruth Hayes of Indiana, PA, Betty Rae (Pete) Reefer of Dayton, PA; 3 Grandchildren - Dan, Jessica and Lisa; 2 Great Grandchildren - Natalie and Austin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother, Paul S. Jewell and sister, Fay Seibert.

Interment took place in Rural Valley Cemetery.
