JOHN C. HELLGREN

John C. Hellgren, Sr., 86 of Dayton, PA, died Thursday, August 11, 2011 at his residence.

He was born April 15, 1925 in Cadogan, PA, Son of the late John Hellgren and the late Edith (Stenstrohm) Hellgren.

He was a member of Rural Valley American Legion.

He worked at PPG in Ford City as a Foreman.

Surviving are his wife Helen (Marshall) Hellgren; 3 Sons - John Hellgren and wife Andrea of Hinesville, GA, Tom Hellgren of Dayton and Denny Hellgren and wife Janet Kay of Rural Valley; 1 Sister, Edith Balazik of Hummelstown, PA,; 8 Grandchildren - Rhett, Raena, Maria, Eric, Trisha, Kurt, Bob and Trina; 10 Great Grandchildren, .

He was preceded in death by 2 Brothers and 5 Sisters.

Friends will be received 2-4 & 7-9 Saturday at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Rural Valley, PA.

Services will be held at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Sunday, August 14, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Mr. Herb Reefer officiating.

Interment will follow in the Rural Valley Cemetery, Rural Valley, PA 16249.
