DOROTHY A. BAKER

Dorothy A. Baker, 87 of Kittanning, PA, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in Armstrong County Health Center.

She was born June 18, 1924 in Westover, PA Clearfield Co., Daughter of the late Bradley and Audrey (Thomas) Markel.

She was a member of the Holiness Gospel Center, Sagamore.

Surviving are 3 Sons - William Smeltzer and wife Sue of Swanton, MD, John Smeltzer and wife Debbie of Kittanning, PA, and Russell Smeltzer of Ford City, PA; 2 Daughters - Jean Gradwell and husband Jim of Ford City, PA and Connie Peffer of Kittanning, PA; 2 Step-Sons - Robert Smeltzer and wife Violet and Donald Smeltzer and wife Rose, both of Shelocta; 2 Step-Daughters - Doris Jean Pound and husband Robert of Youngstown, OH, and Arlene Condrick of Austintown, OH; 1 Brother - Carl Markel and wife Elsie of OH; and numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Parents, 1st Husband - William Smeltzer, 2nd Husband - Kenneth Baker, 3 Brothers - Wallace, Robert and Russell Markel and 1 Granddaughter - Patty Jean Gradwell and 1 Nephew - Curtis James Gradwell

Friends will be received from 6-9 on Thursday August 25, 2011 at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Additional Visitation will be held at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, on Friday August 26, 2011 one hour prior to services at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kal Henry officiating.

Interment will follow in the Atwood Cemetery, Atwood, PA.
