Joseph L. "Captain" Craig, 50 of Dayton, PA, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in Potter Co..

He was born February 5, 1960 in Kittanning, PA, Son of the late John Henderson and Ruth (Getty) Craig.

He was born and raised in Dayton, PA and lived there his entire life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Loved being a Dad and Grandpa. He was very proud of his boys. He also loved living on top of his hill, which he called it his little piece of the world. He enjoed hunting and drinking his beer. Captain had a heart of Gold and would give you the shirt off his back.

He worked as a Equipment Operator for West Penn Energy .

Surviving are his wife, Loraine (Cribbs) Craig and 2 Sons, Joseph (Sarah) Craig of Apollo, PA and Peter (Fiance' Kathleen) Craig of Holiday Park, PA; 2 Step-Sons, Rody (Kira) Allshouse of Creekside, PA, and Michael Allshouse of Dayton, PA, Daughter, Annaiklee Craig; 7 Brothers , James (Arlene) Craig of North East, PA, Albert (Myrtle) Craig of Dayton, PA, John (Dee) Craig of Elderton, PA, Gary (Elaine) Craig of North East, PA, Carl (Becky) Craig of Ripley, NY, Larry (Grace) Craig of Dayton, PA, and Jerry (Jennifer) Craig of Rochester Mills, PA; 3 Sisters, Lois (Rick) VanBuren of Leslie, MI, Shirley (Ken) Ryen of Rochester Mills, PA and Jannet (Henry) Rocco of Cannonsburg, PA, 6 Granddaughters, Kyrie, Jaylin, Raegyn, Nevaeh, Sophia and Ryleigh Allshouse, Mother and Father in Law - Floyd and Dot Cribbs of Creekside, 14 Nieces 10 Nephews; Numerous Great Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by Parents and Sister-in-Law - Cherri Craig.

Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9, Thursday, February 3 at the at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Rural Valley, PA.

Services will be held at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Friday, February 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Joe Weister officiating.

Interment will follow in the St. John's Cemetery, Sagamore.
