JOHN PATRICK CASSELMAN

Edward Joseph Brown, 84, of Glen Burnie passed away on June 27, 2017 at his residence.

Edward was born and raised by his late parents, Paul Edward and Ola (Shellhammer) Brown in Vandergrift, PA. After graduating from Apollo High School in 1951, he joined the Air Force and was a part of the Strategic Air Command. After his military career he became an Ironworker. He met Carol Ann McLaughlin after a short courtship they were married on November 2, 1957. They moved to Glen Burnie in 1971 after becoming a Boilermaker. He was a member of the Boilermaker Local Union #193 for 46 years. Ed had many hobbies woodworking, fishing, boating, crabbing, and hunting. As a loving father his favorite past time was spending time with his family. He expressed his faith through his lifetime membership in the Lutheran Church. He enjoyed a close connection with his hometown and family farm up until his passing.

He is survived by his loving children, Beth A. Brant (Stephen), Edward B. Brown (Diane), Melanie S. Lancaster, and Sherri C. Parks (Christopher); 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in Death by his wife Carol Ann Brown; parents; and Sister Lucille Bawol.

The family will receive visitors at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc. 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley on Sunday, July 2, from 2 to 6 PM.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 3 at 11:00 AM from the Funeral Home.

Burial will take place in the Rural Valley Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his beloved wife. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ed's name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
