JOHN "SPY" BRUNO BROCHETTI John "Spy" Bruno Brochetti, 95, of Yatesboro, passed away on Saturday June 16, 2018 at the Heritage Meadows Personal Care Home. He was born on March 4, 1923 to Angelo and Lida (Gosetti) Brochetti in Wishaw, PA. John worked as a Coal Miner for Margaret Mines. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Marines. He was a member of St. Mary, Mother of God Church, Yatesboro, where he served on the cemetery board and Holy Name Society. Spy also belonged to the UMWA and was a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus - Kittanning and a 4th degree Knights of Columbus - Butler. He was the past commander of American Legion Post 523, past commander of the Armstrong Co. Marines, charter member of the Armstrong Co. Sports Hall of Fame, first president of Shannock Valley Little League and best of all, married to Elizabeth (Kulick) Brochetti, which on Sept. 20, would of been 71 years, and his 5 children. Spy is survived by his wife - Elizabeth (Kulick) Brochetti; son - John Brochetti of DuBois; three daughters - Linda (Andrew) Bodnar of Yatesboro, Darlene (Terry) Hallman of Dayton, Jane (Michael) Nagy of Kittanning; twelve grandsons - Adam (Nikki) Brochetti, Aaron Brochetti, Alex Brochetti, Andrew Brochetti, Andrew Bodnar, Tyson (Lori) Bodnar, David (Mindy) Hallman, William (Jessica) Hallman, Matthew Hallman, Nathan (Shephanie) Nagy, Jonathan (Tara) Nagy, Frank (Alyssa) Nagy; granddaughter - Alissa (Braden) Merritt; 20 great grandchildren; 4 brothers - Louis (Laura) Brochetti, Frank (Roseanne) Brochetti, William (Jean) Brochetti, and Fred (Sandy) Brochetti. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son - Frank T. Brochetti, who was killed in Vietnam in 1972; and 2 sisters - Mary Bernardo and Josephine Dorazio. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Wednesday June 20, 2018 at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am from St. Mary, Mother of God Church, Yatesboro with Fr. Eric Dinga, officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Mary R.C. Cemetery - Yatesboro with full military honors conducted by the Armstrong Co. Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Armstrong Co.
