ALBERT BOYD (Howdy Doody) Craig

Albert Boyd (Howdy doody) Craig, 76, of Dayton, PA passed away Wednesday November 22, 2017 at ACMH Hospital in Kittanning.

He was born on July 12, 1941 in Smicksburg to the late John H. and Ruth (Getty) Craig.

Albert went to Dayton school till the 8th grade, and then he became a helper on his parent's farm. From there he became a diesel mechanic, fruit farm worker in North East, PA and moved back to Dayton. He worked in the strip mines and then became a truck driver for Dayton Oil. He retired from Armstrong County Transit.

Albert was married for 55 years to Myrtle Kay Ferringer Craig. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many people. He will be remembered for such a beautiful smile and great personality. He always went to help whoever he could; a neighbor, a passer bye, a church member, or anyone that needed help. He would drop what he was doing to help who ever needed it. Albert was a member of the Sagamore Gospel Center.

Albert is survived by his wonderful wife Myrtle; his daughters &endash; Linda Kay Stillman of Home, PA and Bonnie (Bob) Merryman of Kittanning; son &endash; Albert Eugene (Connie) Craig of Dayton; 7 grandchildren &endash; Paul (fiancé &endash; Cayla Neal) Stillman of Punxsutawney, Michael (Alayna) Good of Kittanning, Amanda (fiancé &endash; Jason Crawford) Good of Ford City, Kenny (Nadia) Craig of Dayton, Becky (Casey) Anthony of Rural Valley, Tiffany (fiancé &endash; Neil Klinger) Merryman of Vandergrift, and Heidi (fiancé &endash; Michael Urik) Merryman of South Buffalo; great grandchildren &endash; Maxlyn, Mycha, Natalie, Maverick, Marissa, Giavanna, Arianna, Naomi, Nash, Rusty, Jayden, Allison, Lacey and Rori; step great grandchildren &endash; Kyler Green, Kinsley Tady, Aislyn Tady, Savannah Urik, and Landon Urik; brothers &endash; James (Arlene) Craig of North East, John (Dee) Craig of Elderton, Gary (Elaine) Craig of North East, Carl (Becky) Craig of NY, Larry (Grace) Craig of Dayton, and Jerry Craig of Dayton; sisters &endash; Lois Vanhorn of Michigan, PA, Shirley (Len) Ryen of Rochester Mills, PA, Janet (Henry) Rocco of Cannonsburg; and many nieces and nephews.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers &endash; Joseph Craig and infant Paul Craig.

The family will receive friends on Friday November 24, 2017 from 1-4 & 6-9 PM from the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA, 16249. Funeral Services will be Saturday, 11:00 AM from NuValley Presbyterian Church with Pastor Kal Henry officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will take place in Smicksburg Methodist Cemetery.
