Claretta Catherine Bishop, 92, of Stanfield, NC, formerly of Cowanshannock Twp., passed away on April 15, 2018 at Tucker Hospice House, NC.

She was born on July 18, 1925 to Walter and Catherine (Croyle) Lowmaster in Banks Twp., Indiana Co. She was a member of Salem (Hills) United Church of Christ where she was a former Sunday School Teacher. She was also a former member of the Valley Homemakers.

Claretta is survived by her son - Larry L. (Teresa) Bishop of Stanfield, N.C.; and 4 grandchildren - Cameron, Carmen, Brandon and Brittany.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband - Joseph Bishop Jr., whom died Jan. 5, 2000; daughter - Linda C. Bishop; 2 brothers - Twin Clifford and Byron Lowmaster; and 2sisters - Dorothy Flemm and Doris Adams.

Visitation will be held April 19, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Friday 11:00 from the Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Marino officiating.

Burial will take place in the Salem (Hills) United Church of Christ Cemetery.
