Richard "Dick" J. Beresnyak, Sr., 77, of Home, passed away on August 11, 2019 at his residence.

He was born on June 9, 1942 to Leslie "Lassie" and Evelyn (Yasko) Beresnyak, Sr. in S. Mahoning Twp. Dick worked as a Well Tender for various companies. He was a member of the NRA, Sagamore VFW and American Legion Rural Valley. He served in the Army during the Vietnam Era.

Dick is survived by his two sons, Richard "Rick" J. Beresnyak, Jr. of Home, PA and Daniel M. Beresnyak of Rural Valley; two brothers, Thomas E. Beresnyak, Sr. and Leslie B. (Faye) Beresnyak, Jr., both of Home, PA; and a grandson, Adam R. Beresnyak of Ford City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Barbara (Troup) Beresnyak, whom passed away Feb. 20, 2019.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2019, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, 10:00 am from St. Mary, Mother of God Church - Yatesboro.

Burial will take place in the St. Mary R.C. Cemetery - Yatesboro.
