DAVID P. BENSON

David P. Benson, 74 years old of Yatesboro, PA, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010 in ACMH Hospital.

He was born April 28, 1935 in Yatesboro, PA, Son of the late Robert E. Benson and the late Amelia V. Fornari.

He was the President of AFCME Chapter 13 of the retired PA employees. He enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, his friends and family, and was also a movie buff.

He was retied from Penn DOT in Kittanning.

Surviving are his wife, Frances M. (Yount) Benson, 2 Sons - David G. Benson of Lake Dallas, TX and G. Scott Benson of Yatesboro; 2 Daughters - Theresa Geisel and Heather Benson both of Yatesboro 2 Stepsons, Brad Beers of Indiana, PA and Bryon Beers of Worthington; 2 Stepdaughters - Teri Elder of Whitesburg and Cheryl Bish of Ford City 1 Grandson 9 Step-Grandchildren 1 Great Grandson 8 Step Great Grandchildren; 2 Brothers - John J. Benson of Coraopolis, PA and James E. Benson of Haborcreek, PA 4 Sisters - Marie Samosky of Pittsburgh, Elizabeth Benson of Rossiter, PA, Elsie Zanolli of Hyde Park, PA and Virginia Olexy of Dubois, PA,

He was preceded in death by Parents- 1st Wife - Esther Marie Benson - DOD 6/21/2003 1 Daughter - Amy Benson 1 Brother - Robert Benson.

Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9, Friday, February 12 at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Rural Valley, PA.

Services will be held at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Todd Marino officiating.

Interment will follow in the Salem (Hills) United Church of Christ, Kittanning, PA 16201.
