Frances M. Benson, 78, of Yatesboro, passed away on May 19, 2017 at the Kittanning Care Center.

She was born on August 20, 1938 to Miles and Laura "Peggy" (Hazlett) Yount in Gohenville, PA. Fran worked as a Greeter for Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc. in Rural Valley.

She was a member of Salem (Hills) United Church of Christ, Rural Valley Legion Aux., past president of RV Women's Civic Club and Rural Valley Lion's Club.

Frances is survived by her two sons - Brad Beers of Marion Center and Bryon Beers of Orange, TX; two daughters - Mrs. Tim (Teri) Elder of Kittanning and Mrs. John (Cheryl) Bish of Ford City; 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; 2nd Husband - Jack L. Nelson, 3rd Husband - David Benson; infant son - Kerry Beers; infant brothers - Miles E., Jr. and Laird Yount; and infant sister - Laura Yount.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2017, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9:00 at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 W. Main St. Rural Valley, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, 11:00 am at the Salem (Hills) United Church of Christ with Pastor Todd Marino, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Salem (Hills) United Church of Christ.
